THE SHO-AIR CYCLING GROUP IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE CREATION OF THE USAC US CUP-CX FOR 2017.

In order to bring some continuity to the US cyclocross scene and to compliment the successful US Cup-XC series, SCG has partnered with four extremely well respected and long standing events on the cross calendar. 

Four rounds, seven total races and a $20,000.00 winner take all format for series champions should make for an exciting series for fans and riders alike.

With equal prize money at all events and equal payout to the series championship, the US Cup aims to add credibility and increased media visibility to the 2017 cross racing season.

 

“We really saw a need for some type of national CX series where a overall championship was on the line”, explained US Cup founder R. Scott Tedro. “This series will give fans and riders alike something to follow, while still allowing racers with World Cup aspirations to pursue their goals. We really wanted to showcase the talented men and women here in North America while putting some extra money in their pockets.”

The Cincy Cyclocross is sanctioned by USA Cycling and the UCI. Expecting more than 1,400 amateur and Elite cyclists to contend with mud, dirt, gravel, sand, grass of Cincinnati.

The Derby City Cup is at the very highest level of professional cyclo-cross racing in the United States. More than 900 athletes will descent on Louisville for two spectacular days of racing.
